(Congressional Iran Briefing: Bi-partisan House Majority Offers a Coherent Policy on Iran)。

On February 26, 2025, the Organization of Iranian American Communities (OIAC) held a Congressional Iran Briefing titled “Bi-partisan House Majority Offers a Coherent Policy on Iran” at the U.S. House of Representatives (Rayburn Building).

The briefing aimed to bring together Iranian Americans from across the United States to support the Iranian people’s pursuit of a free, secular, democratic, and non-nuclear Republic of Iran. The meeting also facilitated discussions on strengthening sanctions against Iran, cutting off its oil exports (particularly to China), isolating the Iranian regime on the international stage, and supporting the Iranian community in the U.S., including providing aid to Iranian refugees and protecting Iranian activists in the U.S. from threats by the Iranian government (which has been accused of using proxies to attack, abduct, or even assassinate dissidents abroad).

Representative Tom McClintock, who proposed support for the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI)’s ten-point plan, attended the briefing. Jared Moskowitz (Democrat, Florida), Tim Burchett (Republican, Tennessee), and others also spoke at the event.

Zheng Yang, Secretary-General of the China Democracy and Human Rights Alliance and the Federation for a Democratic China in the U.S., along with Jin Chang, the Washington, D.C. regional chair, were invited to participate in the briefing. This event not only boosted the momentum for the organizers but also laid a solid foundation for the China Democracy and Human Rights Alliance and the Federation for a Democratic China to engage and collaborate with other global forces pursuing freedom and democracy.
