Celebrating the 90th Birthday of His Holiness the Dalai Lama

—— Message of Congratulations

Respected 14th Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso, Your Holiness:

On this radiant and joyful day, we extend our deepest reverence and gratitude, and on behalf of the Chinese Democracy & Human Rights Alliance (CDHRA FreeOurChina.com), we offer our warmest congratulations and most heartfelt blessings on your 90th birthday!

Yesterday, we were honored to participate in the grand preparatory ceremony in New York, joining believers from around the world to present our profound respect and best wishes to you. We sincerely wish Your Holiness a happy birthday and good health in both body and mind.

Your Holiness, throughout your life you have devoted yourself to the rights of the Tibetan people, to religious freedom, and to the cause of peace—not only bringing warmth to the Tibetan nation but also earning the respect of people across the world. In 1969, you declared: “Whether the institution of the Dalai Lama continues in the future should be decided by the concerned people.” Today, on the occasion of your 90th birthday, you have solemnly reaffirmed that the institution of reincarnation will continue. This is not only a firm commitment to the preservation of Tibetan Buddhist traditions but also a silent act of resistance against the coercion of the Chinese Communist regime. Your gentle yet unyielding spirit in the face of violence and tyranny inspires the deepest admiration worldwide.

On this auspicious occasion of Your Holiness’s 90th birthday, we sincerely pray:
• May Your Holiness enjoy a long life of blessings, with a healthy and peaceful body and mind;
• May Tibetans, Hui, Uyghurs, Manchu, Mongols, and people of all faiths and ethnicities regain their rightful dignity and freedom as soon as possible;
• May the Chinese Communist regime face the reality of human rights and religious freedom, end its long-standing oppression and injustice toward the people, and allow all nations to live together in peace and joy.

Your Holiness, we once again extend our most sincere wishes: Happy Birthday, with auspiciousness and harmony! May your compassion and wisdom continue to illuminate the world. May the Tibetan nation live in peace, and may its culture and faith be passed down through the generations.

Respectfully wishing you
Longevity as steadfast as the Southern Mountains, and virtues celebrated for millennia!
